Five stages, same every time. We don't hide the process or save it for the proposal. Here's exactly what happens from your first message to a working site or app you're proud of.
01 // Day 1
Brief
A thirty-minute call. We learn your business, your audience, what you've tried, what you want. No pitch deck, no slide-ware, no "discovery workshop" with a deliverable to invoice for.
What we ask
- →What do you sell, who buys it, how do they find you today?
- →What does your current site or app do well? What's broken?
- →What's the actual project: rebuild, new build, migration, retainer?
- →What's your timeline and rough budget? (We need both to scope properly.)
- →Who'll be involved on your side: just you, or a team?
What you walk away with
- →A clear next step (quote, audit, paid discovery)
- →Honest opinion on whether we're the right fit
- →Rough budget bracket so you can decide if it's worth continuing
- →If we're not the right fit, we'll say so and suggest who might be
For app projects above $10k, we sometimes recommend paid discovery instead of a free quote: it produces a proper scoping document we can both rely on.
02 // Days 1–3
Quote
We send a real number, a real timeline, and a real plan within a working day. No estimate ranges with hidden contingency. No "starting from" figures that double when you read the proposal.
What the quote includes
- →Fixed price for the build (or phase-by-phase for larger apps)
- →Launch date estimate: real, not aspirational
- →What's NOT included: copywriting, photography, third-party licences if relevant
- →Ongoing costs after launch (hosting, retainer, plugin licences)
- →Payment terms (50/50 deposit-and-launch for builds, monthly in advance for retainers)
What you don't get
- →No fifty-page proposal full of buzzwords
- →No hard sell or pressure
- →No different number than what we said on the call
- →Quotes are valid 30 days: if your needs change before signing, we re-quote rather than locking you in
03 // Days to weeks
Build
We work. You review. We iterate. Most websites are live within a fortnight; apps within four to eight weeks. You see progress at a real preview URL the whole way through. No waiting until the end for a big reveal.
For websites
- →AgentPress: AI researches, designs and writes the whole site, we polish, you review at a preview URL within days
- →WordPress bespoke: structure first, then design, then content, with reviews at each milestone
- →Content: AI-drafted copy you can edit, your own writing, or copywriting quoted separately
- →Imagery: AI-generated by default, real photography where it matters (team, product, premises)
For apps
- →Phase split: we ship the foundation first (auth, billing, base UI), then features in defined phases
- →Your own Cloudflare deployment: the app deploys to your account, not ours. You own infrastructure from day one
- →Weekly check-ins: demo new features, flag any scope or timeline drift early
- →Code reviews available: if you have your own dev team, they can review every PR before merge
We won't go silent for weeks. We won't change scope without telling you. If we discover something that affects timeline or cost, you hear about it within a day, not at the end.
04 // Launch day
Launch
DNS goes live. SSL valid. Forms tested. Search Console submitted. We monitor for two weeks post-launch to catch anything that breaks under real traffic.
On launch day
- →DNS cutover at a low-traffic time (usually a Sunday night)
- →SSL certificate auto-issued and verified
- →Final forms test: we send a test enquiry through to confirm it reaches you
- →Google Search Console + sitemap submitted, analytics verified
- →For migrations: 301 redirects from old URLs, audited against the old sitemap
The two weeks after
- →Daily monitoring for uptime, performance, errors
- →Search Console checked weekly for crawl or indexing issues
- →Small adjustments included free: copy, layout, navigation based on real usage
- →If something breaks, we fix it the same day
05 // Forever
Support
We're your team after launch, not just during. Hosting, security, plugin updates, content edits: the things you don't want to learn how to do yourself, we handle on an ongoing basis.

- →Nightly off-site backups, 30-day retention
